MLPS TV's brand new studio is almost ready for use. Hopefully we can be in and using it by sometime next week. Our Team is purchasing a vision mixer - which will greatly enhance our ability to produce shows [particularly live shows]. It will greatly cut down on post production editing and will increase the skills of our young movie makers.
We have entered three movies into competition this year - up from one last year. Two are entered in the Moviefest national film making competition, 'Camera, Lights, Action' and 'Press Play'. These movies, in keeping with the theme of the competition, are documentaries highlighting, in some manner, the movie making process. I believe both movies show a high level of understanding of the film making craft and each is independently created by the associated team.
The other film produced this year is "S.A.M." an animation/live action movie entered into the 'Outlook for Someday' competition run by TVNZ6. It is ambitious and shows a high degree of technical understanding by the way 'Pivot animation' is integrated into live action.
